So the Zero is designed to run ET15 wheels but with the lack of availability of the usual team dynamic alloys we went with Sparco FF1s which are ET25 (dont forget you need the correct size spigot rings too). This meant we needed roughly 10mm wheel spacers all round. Because Kathryn's a cheapskate, we went with some Facebook marketplace MX5 spacers for the rear which are 13mm deep.
Because of the spacers, we needed some longer studs. For some reason, studs seem to just come in two lengths... too long or too short! We opted for ones that were too long (Don't know who out there is running 60mm wheel spacers, but we're on to you!) After we measured, checked and measured again, the over-length wheel studs were speedily rectified with a hacksaw and the world was again in equilibrium!
Ooh, and Matt decided to paint the bit of the brake disks that the pads don't touch... because... pretty
Wind the new studs in with some washers and a nut
Add the brake disk
Add the spacer
Measure (at least) twice before cutting!
Use Matt's shiny new external chamfer deburring tool
Don't forget to peen the castle nut at some point
Tada!
Add the wheel and wheel nuts. Boom, done!
