Our GBS Zero build started in April 2021 when we placed our order and swiftly bought a donor car. We would just like to take a moment to thank Richard and his team at GBS for all their help, instruction and guidance throughout the build so far. They honestly could not be more supportive or friendly.Â
We would also like to thank the 'GBS owners and enthusiasts' Facebook page for their wealth of knowledge and support. They are a great bunch and have helped us no end throughout the build, it certainly would have been more difficult without them.
You will notice that we get frustrated at various points during the build when things don't fit first time. None of these issues were much more than a minor annoyance and all of them had a relatively straight forward work around once you'd had a few days to think about it. Overall the quality of the parts and materials are excellent. The chassis is constantly being updated and changed to try to resolve the problems that arise, and we have given GBS some feedback from our build to be taken into consideration also.
We can certainly say that we are very much enjoying building this car and would recommend it to anyone that is interested and wants a project. There is, however, very little in the way of a build manual at the moment (though we believe GBS are keen to make one) so a little working knowledge of cars and access to the right tools are a massive help.
